Students who have been enrolled in School of Social Sciences for at least 2 semesters and completed 3 major explorative courses, at least one course from area, and earned at least 27 credits. (From the courses taken from , one course can be discredited when calculating GPA, and if more than two courses were taken, the course with lower grade may be discredited.)
Major assignments are conducted at the end of each school year and the periods will be announced.
-If a certain major provides two major explorative courses and a student has completed both, only one of the two courses will be counted but GPA will reflect the average grade of the two.
-From the completed major explorative courses, courses that match students’ major area will be counted toward major course credit.
-Electives Special Exam, Summer/ Winter Course grades, and grades from other schools will be reflected on the transcript only if they are confirmed by the office before the level 1 major assignment application deadline- retaken courses will also rely on grades confirmed by the office.
-Other concerns not reflected on the regulation will be determined by major assignment evaluation committee.
-However, students who have been held back according to Seoul National University’s undergraduate hold back regulation and have retaken all the courses may be subject to a regulation that limits maximum grade to a lower grade.
